Stafford Rangers winger Levi Reid today warned the team not to take anything for granted until safety in the Blue Square North is mathematically secure.

Rangers go to Gloucester on Saturday needing only to match bottom club Harrogate's result at home to Blyth Spartans to secure their spot for next season, as second-from-bottom Vauxhall Motors cannot finish above them after losing 3-1 at Marston Road last Saturday.

Even Harrogate's three games in hand couldn't save them if Rangers were to win at the weekend, a big incentive for Chris Brindley's side to do the double over the Tigers at the Corinium Stadium, with the hosts not completely clear of danger themselves.

On the flipside, results going their way with a good away win could see the Marston Road men climb as high as 12th in this run of fixtures, ahead of the final games at home to Gainsborough and away to Workington.

Reid has urged his team-mates to go about their business on Saturday as if it was another relegation six-pointer, and use that impetus to finish the season with a flourish.

He said: "We have got to continue looking over our shoulders, because anything is possible in football. There's plenty to play for, so we need to keep going all the way to that finishing line, and keep on fighting for every ball and game like we have done.

"f we can get a decent result on Saturday we will be alright, but we are trying to finish as high as we can and will be looking to pick up the right results in these last three games."
