Kidderminster Harriers will name Port Vale defender Luke Prosser and Chesterfield midfielder Lloyd Kerry in the squad to host Salisbury.

But defender Gavin Caines' time at the club appears to have come to an end, after the 26-year-old was allowed to join Luton until the end of the season with his contract at Aggborough up in the summer.

All three month-long loan deals see out the Blue Square Premier season, which finishes on April 24.

Prosser comes into the squad as a like-for-like replacement for Caines, although the 21-year-old may not make an immediate start due to the emergence of Tom Sharpe at the back.

Kerry, also 21, has been brought in to cover the continued absence of assistant boss John Finnigan, who will again miss out after breaking down in training this week returning from a calf injury.

Darryl Knights also turned his ankle on Wednesday and is still a doubt, which could open the door sooner than expected for David McDermott, the most qualified to step in after returning from a month's loan at Halesowen this week.

Manager Steve Burr will now look to his steer his 11th-placed troops back toward the top 10 tomorrow after a mini-slide of four successive defeats, with the play-off places 16 points away albeit with at least a game in hand on all the teams above them.

He said: "We just want to get back to winning matches again, it's important we don't let our season fizzle out and we need to finish as high as we can. No-one is giving up on the play-offs, but it's a tall order now and we could have done without losing to York the other night.

"But we have played three of the top sides in his league over the last four games and have just fallen short, but only Stevenage have been that much better than us."
