Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr faces a selection poser up front for the home game with Histon between James Lawrie and Robbie Matthews.

Lawrie is available for selection for the first time tomorrow since signing on a month's loan from Port Vale two weeks ago, after a registration problem prevented him from playing in the FA Trophy at Oxford United last weekend.

But the 19-year-old will again be unavailable for Tuesday's visit of Ebbsfleet, away on international duty with the Northern Ireland under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier in San Marino.

Matthews' pressed his claims for selection with the winner at Oxford last week on as a sub, and is now looking to get back in the team after being dropped for the tie.

And boss Burr must make a change, after Damian Spencer returned to Kettering at the end of his loan spell, but is torn between the two.

He said: "It's a bit of a poser, Robbie has got the confidence from coming off the bench and getting the winner last week, while James has trained with us for two weeks and not played. It's a decision I will have to make a bit nearer to kick-off."

Harriers have central defender Gavin Caines as a slight doubt with the Achilles injury that has plagued him over the next fortnight, with Tom Sharpe or Marcus Bignot standing by to replace him.

Assistant boss John Finnigan has also taken a heavy knock to his thigh, but should be fit to take his place in midfield.

Histon come to town having kicked their heels after two consecutive game call offs but it has not been a season to remember thus far for the Stutes, who sit mid-table after challenging for a play-off place with Harriers last term.

But Burr is taking nothing for granted against their unpredictable opponents.

He said: "This league is tough and with Histon coming here it will be a stern test. Last year they were play-off rivals, this year they have not been doing so well but we won't be taking them lightly.

"We need points to close the gap on the play-off places, and this is a chance to do that. There's is a lot to play for over these next few games and that is what we want, something to strive for.

"In that respect, we have a lot to look forward to."

Young Harriers defender Zac Costello is to remain out on loan with Southern League Premier Evesham United for another month.
