Wolves' new boy Adlene Guedioura has targeted a maximum return from Saturday's clash at Bolton.
Wolves' new boy Adlene Guedioura has targeted a maximum return from Saturday's clash at Bolton.
The French-Algerian midfielder has settled into the Premier League impressively since signing on loan from Belgian side Charleroi last month, figuring in six games so far.
Guedioura believes the team can present third bottom Bolton – who are without a goal in five and a half games - with plenty of problems.
He said: "Saturday is going to be a very important match. It's a chance for us to move four points ahead of them if we win. It will be an important game in terms of trying to stay in the Premier League, so hopefully we can win.
"Wolves have done well away from home this season, so hopefully we can keep that going."
Guedioura has heaped praise on the Molineux backroom staff for making the difficult transition between the Belgian and English leagues an easy one.
He said: "I feel I've done OK so far and have settled in well, because the manager and coaches have given me confidence and made it easy to fit in with my team-mates."
But the 24-year-old powerhouse had mixed feelings about Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Chelsea, after being denied a wonder goal when goalkeeper Petr Cech saved his thunderous volley in his first full outing.
Guedioura said: "I felt good to come through 90 minutes in a difficult game. I'm happy to play the whole game, but not so happy we didn't get a result. Sometimes in matches things happen which change a game and I think that was the case with my shot.
"If Petr Cech hadn't made the save then the match could have been much different. Chelsea are one of the best teams in the world, with some of the best players and internationals.
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game but we did what we could to get a result – so it was disappointing.
"Football in the Premier League is certainly faster, more physical and of a better standard than in Belgium. But I think with the help of the fans we can stay in the Premier League.
"The team have shown they have the quality to be able to stay in the division and we'll do everything we can to make it happen."
