New Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr is looking forward to the visit of Grays Athletic after taking a point from his first game in charge.

Harriers twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at Crawley Town on Saturday, assistant boss John Finnigan and captain Chris McPhee with equalisers after goals from Charles Ademeno and Barry Cogan.

Their input saw the dawn of a new era for Burr, who was appointed last Thursday, did not end in defeat, and the team now plough on to the rearranged game with Julian Dicks' men tomorrow night.

And the new manager, taking charge for his first home game, is very much looking forward to it.

He said: "I have told to the players that we can build on the result at Crawley. For the last month there hasn't been a lot of football played so it was great to actually get involved in a game .

"But I am really looking forward to the game at home - and all the games coming up, to be honest. Hopefully I can do well here and we can get success."

Burr also took the time to hail Harriers' travelling support, as 92 fans made the long trip to back the team and the new manager.

The Harriers boss was just glad the fans hadn't came all that way to watch their club lose.

He said: "It's a long way for the fans to come and it was nice to have got that equaliser, because it gives them something to go home with a smile on their face about.

"Hopefully they'll get behind us again on Tuesday night."
