This was the scene at Kidderminster Harriers as volunteers came in their droves to get Aggborough ready to stage a match tomorrow - but it was all in vain.

Harriers are expected to call off the visit of Grays Athletic after a late inspection, with the pitch still in no fit state to play on. Heavy rain has left parts of the surface waterlogged, while there are still frozen areas and snow to deal with.

Fans will now be starved of seeing their team in action for the fourth scheduled match in a row and, for those who made the effort, it's a choker as club and supporters made every effort to get the game on.

But the elements have prevailed again, with caretaker boss John Finnigan and his players gutted at missing out on another chance to perform in front of their townsfolk.

He said: "It's doing the players head in now, they are chomping at the bit to get out there and are really sick of the break. They have been in as usual training and they feel like they are coming in for nothing at the minute.

"We are keeping the fitness levels up, but you need games to get that sharpness."
