Wellecomme to return for Rangers
Stafford Rangers top scorer Nick Wellecomme will return to the squad against Droylsden at Marston Road after three weeks on the sidelines with a back injury.
The seven-goal striker has completed his first full week of training along with a series of gym sessions under his own steam and has now been passed fit to play tomorrow, although a place on the bench may be the most likely option after a three-game absence.
The need for his return is not quite so pressing since manager Chris Brindley brought in Warwick Alexander and Henrik Ojamaa on loan, with both expected to continue in attack tomorrow.
But the return of Wellecomme, with a vital festive schedule on the horizon, will be a big boost.
He said: "I have been given the go-ahead to play some part tomorrow. I am not sure how long I am going to last, but I want to get some time on the pitch obviously. I would say that my back is up to about 95 per cent now, I feel a lot better now than I did and now I just want to get back to full fitness.
"I have still got some pains in my lower back but it's not too serious, so hopefully I can kick on now."
Rangers can also welcome back Derby loanee Jermaine Johnson from flu, who is expected to partner Curtley Williams in the centre of defence with skipper Bobby Wilson suspended.
Midfielder Jake Moult is also set to be passed fit after a foot injury but may have to settle for a place on the bench, with Tony Dinning and Tom Thorley impressing in the middle of the park against Blyth Spartans last Saturday.
