Harriers boss' new selection dilemma
Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates faces another selection dilemma tonight as the team bid to record a hat-trick of wins for the first time this season at Wrexham.
Lee Baker comes back into contention for the trip to Wales after a three-match ban, but young Peterborough loanee Danny Andrew has impressed in his place at left-back and could keep his established rival out of the team at the Racecourse Ground.
Yates must also make a decision between David McDermott - who responded to being dropped for captain Chris McPhee by coming on and setting up the second goal in Saturday's 2-0 win at Kettering - or Darryl Knights, who made way after the first-half at Rockingham Road.
The manager said: "Lee will come into contention again, because he's a good player who has done really well for us this year. But if he doesn't get in straight away, he will have to be patient. David responded well on Saturday, but Darryl has been a good player for us as well this season."
Wrexham have flattered to deceive this season under manager Dean Saunders and sit 15th in the table ahead of tonight's clash.
By contrast Harriers are in good spirits, after putting league leaders Oxford and the Poppies to the sword in the last two games.
Yates said: "This is a massive game for us, make no doubt about it. Wrexham are a good side with a lot of good players, even if they haven't maybe got the results they have expected. It's a really tough game for us, like the last two have been and the next two are going to be."
Harriers have been drawn away at either Unibond Premier League Matlock or Unibond League Division One South Witton Albion in the FA Trophy first round proper on December 12, who replay tonight at Causeway Lane.
Yates said: "It's going to be a tough one away from home, we already know that, but it's a way off yet so we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Obviously the replay is tonight, so I have got to send someone to that to get an idea of what we are up against."
Harriers now have a change of opponent at Aggborough in Blue Square Premier action this Saturday, as Barrow's exploits in the FA Trophy mean that AFC Wimbledon will now be the visitors. The original fixture will now be played on January 26.
