Albion arrange La Manga trip
Albion will head to La Manga in Spain for a mid-season training camp next week.
The Baggies players will jet to the southern Spanish resort for five days of warm weather training after Saturday's meeting with Leicester.
The trip will be the Baggies' first spell away from their Great Barr training ground since their three-match pre-season tour of Slovenia and Croatia.
But before heading to Spain, the Baggies will take on Championship surprise package Leicester at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday with summer signing Simon Cox looking to build on his first League goal for the club against Watford at the weekend.
Di Matteo defended the handling of the striker, for whom the game against Watford was only a second League start in Albion colours.
The head coach said: "We just didn't feel he was right to start because we had other players ahead of him. When we thought the time was right we put him in and looks sharp.
"Obviously, a goal helps any striker. When you think he's ready to step into team, score goals and help the team you select him. That goes for everybody."
