Hutchings warns his side to focus
Walsall manager Chris Hutchings has warned his side to forget about the FA Cup derby with Stourbridge and ensure they get what they deserve at Wycombe.
The Saddlers go to League One's bottom side on Saturday aiming to end a run of three straight defeats on the road.
Impressive performances at MK Dons and Colchester have yielded no points, while the team were well beaten at Hartlepool.
They travel to the Glassboys for their FA Cup first round clash on November 7 and, after initial frenzy, boss Hutchings insists they must forget the derby and get three points at Adams Park.
He said: "Stourbridge isn't in our thoughts, the most important thing is Wycombe and we've got to focus on that. Once Wycombe is out of the way then we can look to Stourbridge.
"At MK Dons and Colchester the performances deserved more than what we got. The Colchester boss Aidy Boothroyd had eight games undefeated and he said we're the best team they've played this season.
"Aidy wouldn't say that falsely to me because I've known him for a long time, but we came away with no points so it counts for nothing."
Jamie Vincent could feature after responding well to treatment on his pulled calf, while Sam Parkin (back) and Steve Jones (virus) may return.
Richard Taundry could also make the squad after playing in the reserves' 4-2 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday, following almost two months out with a pulled hamstring.
Hutchings said: "Jamie has responded to treatment and he could be available for the weekend, Sam is another one who could be back.
"Steve has been training. He was off all last week, we didn't play him in the reserves because it would have been too early after having a week off and he'll be included.
"Taundry might be a little bit stiff after the work he did on Tuesday but he's got a great chance of being in the squad. He came through unscathed and all those are positive signs."
