Hackett delighted at Walsall draw

Delighted Stourbridge boss Gary Hackett has described the club's FA Cup clash with Walsall as a "dream draw."

Stourbridge won at Buxton for the second time in a week to add an FA Trophy win to their FA Cup victory.

The teams were paired in the first round and will play at the War Memorial Ground on November 7, subject to FA clearance.

The Glassboys, who had never before reached the first round in their 133-year history, beat Buxton 4-0 in the fourth round qualifying on Saturday to hand them the prized tie.

Hackett said: "It would have been in my top five teams, it's a dream draw. To get Walsall, who are probably only 10 miles away, is great. We were at the club for the draw and it was nerve-wracking.

"Leeds and Norwich came out early and you think you're not going to get a good draw, but when Walsall came out it was a mass celebration."

Despite being four leagues below the League One Saddlers, Hackett is confident his Southern League Premier Division team can spring a surprise.

He said: "To get into the first round is a massive achievement, Walsall will be the favourites but it's like in boxing, you only have to land one punch."
