Hackett fully aware of cup tie goals
Stourbridge boss Gary Hackett has admitted he cannot underestimate their FA Cup clash at Buxton tomorrow.
The Glassboys are 90 minutes away from the FA Cup first round – a stage they have never reached in their 133-year history – when they travel to the Silverlands in the fourth round qualifying round tomorrow.
Despite urging calm, Hackett know the importance of the game.
He said: "It's one of the biggest games in the club's history. The club has never reached the first round proper. It's more than another game. It's one heck of a big game for the football club."
The winners will claim £12,500 along with the chance to play Leeds or Norwich and Hackett has allowed himself time to dream before Sunday's draw (1pm).
He said: "Of course you speculate on what club you could get and you look at the likes of Leeds, Norwich or Southampton because they are three recent Premier League clubs but we have to get through first.
"The players have a marvellous opportunity to make a bit of history but we have to make sure we don't get carried away. We have to make sure we put in a performance."
