Rangers boss looks for new players
Stafford Rangers manager Chris Brindley is looking to freshen up his squad with a couple more new players in a bid to halt the team's slide on the field.
The Marston Road men go to Corby on Saturday looking to halt a four-game winless run in league and cup, with the boss working hard behind the scenes to bolster his ranks.
Rangers have added to the squad throughout the season so far, with the likes of goalkeeper Bill Lumley, defender Manny Udoji and returning midfielder Levi Reid brought in since the opening day.
That is not to mention loan signings Ross Davidson, Steve Thompson and Jermaine Johnson - who all returned to their clubs afterwards.
Brindley continues to chop and change in the search to enhance to his existing pool of talent, hoping to get his side firing again and up the Blue Square North table from their current doldrums of 17th place.
And the manager will do that until the right formula is found.
He said: "We need to bring in a couple of new faces really, to freshen things up. We are looking at all areas, anything that can make us better as a squad. We are not doing very well, so there is a need to bring players in to add to what we already have.
"That search never stops for a manager, it's always ongoing."
