The moneybags Lancashire club, fourth in the league, will visit Aggborough a week on Saturday with a place in the first round proper on the line.

Former Albion and Harriers midfielder Micky Mellon's side can boast a plethora of Football League experience in their ranks, with the likes of former Villa defender Alan Wright, ex-Coventry midfielder Claus Jorgensen and former Everton full-back Jamie Milligan on their books.

Harriers make their first steps of the season into the competition, while their opponents have already dispatched of Farsley Celtic and Vauxhall Motors to get this far.

Aggborough chief Mark Yates took the team to a third round tie at Coventry last season, a game that boosted the coffers enough to significant aid a charge for the play-off's in the second half of the season.

But the manager knows his side have no divine right to get that far again.

He said: "We're at home which is good, but it's going to be a tough tie. Fleetwood are a good side with some very good players. They reportedly have a sizable playing budget and are clearly a club on the up.

"It won't be an easy game, but when it comes around we'll be ready for them."
