The heat that sizzled for Lindgren
Wolves maximum man Fredrik Lindgren pointed to the heat 13 5-1 gained with skipper Peter Karlsson as the pivotal moment in the play-off final first leg.
Swindon had sent out top man Matej Zagar on a double-point tactical ride, but the Swedish duo relegated him to the back of the field as Wolves took home a 54-38 win.
Lindgren said: "I think it looks good. We threw away some points in the beginning with Tai Woffinden and Ty Proctor crashing, so it was quite close for a while.
"But I think it was a very important heat 13 for us when they had a double-point ride but me and PK went out and got a 5-1 instead. That was the key moment for the match.
"We are happy with 16, plus a good performance."
Like skipper Peter Karlsson, Lindgren believes the Parrys International Wolves must ignore the lead and treat the second leg as a one-off match.
He said: "Now we have to go to Swindon but I think we have to set ourselves to zero, go there 100 per cent and try to win the meeting.
"It's important for your own psychology. To know that you're in front by a lot of points can make you go slower, I think.
"So we have to set ourselves to zero and do the business."
