Harriers 'Go Ape' in Wyre Forest

Kidderminster Harriers players had a ball as they 'went ape' in Wyre Forest at a high-wire forest adventure park in a team-bonding session.

The squad spent the day at 'Go Ape' as a reward for their 1-0 success at high-flying AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, with a day on the ropes and away from the training field ahead of their next game at home to Luton on Saturday.

Harriers - if results go their way - could be in the play-off places before the week is out with a third victory in a row against the managerless Hatters.

But, in this instance, the demand from manager Mark Yates was to enjoy themselves - as long as they didn't come back injured.

He said: "The lads have worked really hard and deserve a bit of fun, and we haven't really done anything like this team bonding wise since the summer. We're grateful to 'Go Ape' in the Wyre Forest for letting us do this.

"I must admit I don't want any of them landing in a heap swinging from ropes, but they all are harnessed in so that shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't have agreed to it otherwise.

"It's something different for the players - you can't just keep working them, working them and working them. Call it their reward."
