HARRIERS 31 DH 3Kidderminster Harriers manager Mark Yates believes his reshaped team are finally starting to come together after a much improved sequence of results.

The Aggborough men will make it three wins in a row for the first time this season, if they can beat Blue Square Premier giants Luton at home on Saturday.

Wins over Wrexham and AFC Wimbledon have been a real shot in the arm for Yates' men, with two clean sheets to boot.

The Harriers boss reckons his side are finally starting to gel, after a big turnaround of eight players out and nine in since the summer. Indeed, eight of the 16 that went to Kingsmeadow on Saturday are new to the club for 2009/10.

But with nearly a third of the campaign gone, Yates feels his current squad are on the road of matching the unity that saw last term's charges march to the brink of a play-off spot.

He said: "The first we needed was clean sheets, so I am delighted with the last two games. When you have got big teams coming at you, the players need to stand up and be counted. The more we do that and the tighter we are at the back, the better chance we have of winning games.

"The players are starting to blend together and they will only get better, that should inspire them. We had a big turnaround of players in the summer, and we can't be disappointed with the start we have made. We would like more points and we should have had more, but we are where we are.

"There is still plenty to be done on the training ground and plenty to be done in the squad, but the players are taking on board what we have told them."
