Rushall Olympic 5 Goole 0
Rushall Olympic striker Rory May led the way with a hat-trick in an emphatic victory against Goole at Dales Lane.
The Pics opened their account on 26 minutes when a period of pressure ended with Anthony Maguire's run and shot being blocked by keeper Tom Osbourne, but poacher May was on hand to rifle his side into the lead from just inside the box.
In the first minute of injury time during the opening period Goole found themselves down to 10 men, after Mick Goddard pole-axed home goalkeeper Chris Gemmell with a blatant elbow to the face.
Olympic immediately capitalised on the extra man when, in the third minute of stoppage time, a good move teed-up May who wrestled off the attentions of his marker and showed a wonderful touch to clinically dispatch the ball into the left side of the goal.
The home side went on to also find themselves reduced to 10 men just prior to the hour mark, when last man Tesfa Robinson clipped the heels of Gavin Allott as the forward was about to break clear on goal.
On 79 minutes, Rushall claimed some breathing space with a fine finish from Ben Jevons who slotted home from 12 yards after latching on to May's pass.
With a minute remaining another exquisite piece of football saw Maguire feed Jevons down the right flank and the midfielder delivered a telling centre to the far post that was met by the in-rushing Scott Stevenson, who crashed the ball into the roof of the net from close range.
In the third minute of injury time, May capped an excellent day for the Pics with a lobbed finish over the Goole keeper.
