Away win just reward for Rangers boss
Stafford Rangers manager Chris Brindley believes his side got their just reward after breaking their winless streak in some style at Harrogate.
The Marston Road men went to Harrogate and put four past their hosts, who could only muster Brian Dutton's 75th minute goal in reply.
On-loan Derby defender Jermaine Johnson stole the show in the second-half with two goals from the back, striker Nick Wellecomme got his sixth goal of the season with skipper Bobby Wilson completing Rangers' first win in seven games.
Brindley handed debuts to goalkeeper Billy Lumley and defender Emmanuel Udoji - joining from the club's link-up to Glenn Hoddle's academy in Spain - who made their mark as the team tightened up at the back.
And the manager felt justice was done in North Yorkshire.
He said: "It was just pleasing to pick up the three points, to be honest. We were a lot better at the back, a good performance. We have been playing well and not picking up the points we deserve, due to silly errors, so it was the right result for us.
"Harrogate were never out of it, but we didn't let ourselves slide and in the end they couldn't catch us."
