Amos open to leaving Rangers
Stafford defender Nick Amos is refusing to rule out turning his game-to-game move to Hednesford into a permanent deal.
The 34-year-old was suprisingly allowed to leave Marston Road last Friday to return to his former club in search of first-team football with the Keys Park outfit.
Amos - in his bid to get back to full fitness from a rib injury -went on to get two full games for the Pitmen at Truro and Nuneaton.
Now looking to build on his first appearances of the season, the former Halesowen skipper now admits he would be open to joining Dean Edwards' side for good if the door is closed by Brindley.
The veteran said: "It may well be turned into a permanent move, if they like what I am doing and if Rangers want me to come back or not. Hednesford have even spoken to me about the possibility of helping out coaching, which does appeal to me.
"But it's up to my parent club to tell me what is next and nothing is set in stone."
Amos insists his only focus at the moment is on getting games under his belt and - having proved he is match fit - he could even be recalled to Rangers in time for their trip to Droylsden on Saturday.
But the player has yet to hear from Brindley since his move and - unless he is told otherwise - he will train with Hednesford tonight as they prepare for the visit of Swindon Supermarine on Saturday.
Amos said: "At the end of the day, I needed games, so I have gone to Hednesford to do that. After that, we will see where we go from there. The last time I spoke to Chris Brindley was last Thursday night at training, so I am just playing it by ear.
"At the moment, things seem pretty flexible from both sides, and the more game time I get will be beneficial to me.
"I don't feel like I am firing on all cylinders yet, but I hope to be soon - or whatever club I am playing for."
