Biggest season yet for Bradley
Walsall midfielder Mark Bradley has labelled this season his biggest yet as he looks to get his campaign up and running against Leeds.
The Wales under-21 international is in the frame to deputise for the suspended Dwayne Mattis, as he looks to make his first start of the season.
Bradley was confined to the bench in the 2-2 draw against Southend on Saturday, missed the Carling Cup defeat at Accrington because of international duty and only made a brief substitute outing in the opening day win at Brighton.
Now, with Mattis suspended, Bradley is eager to grab his chance.
He said: "This is my biggest season, I am desperate to do well and putting a lot of pressure on myself. I just want to play games every week and keep my shirt and then get international honours – that will make a good season for me.
"Hopefully I'll be injury free and get as many games as I can. I'm desperate to do well this year and I think I'm showing it on the pitch – I'll put a lot of good performances in."
United arrive at the Banks's Stadium on the back of three victories, the latest a 1-0 win at Wycombe on Saturday.
But they haven't won in their last two visits to the Saddlers, drawing 1-1 and losing 1-0 in January.
Bradley has targeted another positive result against Simon Grayson's side.
He said: "It would be brilliant, hopefully we can play well and get the points. It's a tough home game, but if we apply ourselves we can win.
"We've done well against them, especially at home, away they've beaten us twice but we've done well at home. I didn't play in last season's game, but it was a good result.
"The players are together, you see that in games and in training. Everyone is fighting for the three points."
Team-mate Alex Nicholls is also battling for a starting spot and could replace Peter Till, after the winger failed to impress on Saturday.
The 21-year-old said: "Leeds is one of the fixtures that you always look out for. They have been at this level for a couple of seasons now, so we know all about them.
"We beat them at the Banks's last season and will be looking for a similar result this time round.
"They are one of the League's biggest clubs in terms of history and stature, so you would imagine there will be a big crowd and a good atmosphere inside the stadium."
But Nicholls knows, with hitman Jermaine Beckford in their ranks, United will provide one of the biggest tests of the season.
He said: "Leeds are one of a number of big clubs in the division. It's a very tough division this season and we know that we are going to have to work extra hard to achieve things.
"Having the likes of Charlton, Southampton and Norwich at this level makes you realise how tough it is, but we look forward to this type of match.
"We deservedly beat Leeds here last season and a similar result will give us a real boost tonight."
Leeds boss Grayson is wary of the Saddlers' own threat, but knows they must win to maintain their promotion credentials.
He said: "Going to Walsall is never easy as we found out last season. We lost there and it's another place where we now have to go to and get a result, to keep hold of the momentum we've got already.
"We said to the team before we left the hotel on Saturday morning that we have to go to places like Wycombe and Walsall and get results - if we're going to be potential promotion candidates."
