Champions Walsall falter again

Walsall's nightmare season continued on Saturday after they could only draw with mid-table Barnt Green.

The reigning champions sit third from bottom in the Premier League – with avoiding relegation their first priority after another disappointing weekend.

Jack Shantry top scored with 38, as visitors Walsall made 219 all out before restricting their hosts to 197-8, with Mo Sheikh the pick of the bowlers with 2-43.

Wolverhampton's title challenge is all but over after they suffered a losing draw with second bottom Bromsgrove.

Second-placed Wolves reached 236-9 in reply to Bromsgrove's 281-9. The draw, which did neither side any good, means they are 48 points behind leaders Knowle & Dorridge with just five games to go.

K & D continued their assault on the league with comfortable three-wicket win over Himley.

Himley were dismissed for 140, Stuart wedge top scoring with an unbeaten 33. Wedge then took three wickets as K&D made 141-7.

Kidderminster Victoria lost by three wickets to Shrewsbury after making 167-8. Smethwick still lead the way in Division One after a winning draw at Dorridge.

Old Hill are up to third following a four-wicket success at Attock.
