Kidderminster captain Chris McPhee has called for consistency as Harriers aim to bounce back from defeat at Ebbsfleet.

Harriers have won and lost in their first two games of the Blue Square Premier campaign, an opening day defeat of Hayes & Yeading followed by a slip at Salisbury on Tuesday night.

Now Mark Yates' men aim to get back into the ascendency against McPhee's former club tomorrow (3pm), with the hosts still looking for their first win.

Even though the season is still in it's infancy, the skipper has pinpointed the importance of flying out of the blocks.

McPhee said: "Games are coming thick and fast and the next couple we should be taking maximum points from. If we can get them on the board and build that bit of confidence up, hopefully a bit of consistency will come with it.

"We did well at the back end of last year because we were a team that was difficult to beat - that is the sort of start we need this season."

McPhee only spent one season at Ebbsfleet under current manager Liam Daish but went down in folklore as one of the most famous players in the club's history.

He was the man in Fleet's finest hour - the FA Trophy final win against Torquay in May 2008.

McPhee's goal at Wembley proved to be the winner in a 1-0 upset of the club that released him the previous summer - and with it came the biggest honour in the Kent outfit's 52-year history.

Harriers were beaten finalists the year before and have vowed to get their hands on the trophy ever since.

Now McPhee is daring to dream of climbing those Wembley steps again, this time from the front as skipper in his first full season at Aggborough.

He said: "I enjoyed my time there and the fans treated me very well all that season. To get the FA Trophy and to score the winning goal at Wembley was great as well, and I would love that sort of experience as a Kidderminster player.

"The club have had that chance before and there is no reason why we cannot do that again this season."

Harriers have completed the signing of Salisbury striker Robbie Matthews in time for the match, who will be added to the squad if he can shake off an ankle injury.
