The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Birmingham City, and had loan spells at Scunthorpe United, Boston and Leyton Orient.
He joined Grimsby Town, initially on loan, in November 2006 and after some impressive displays signed on a permanent basis.
A right-sided midfielder, who can also play on the opposite flank, he became a regular for the Mariners, chalking up a total of 87 appearances before spending the second half of last season on loan at Chesterfield.
Saddlers boss Chris Hutchings said: "He's an attacking wide-man with pace, who is not afraid to take people on."
