Another emphatic victory, this time over rivals and neighbours Himley, means they stay within two points of leaders Knowle & Dorridge.

Indian Sairaj Bahatule with 70 not out and wicket-keeper Chris Brook with 52 led the way in Wolverhampton's 199-7.

Former Indian test player Bahatule then took 4-24, as Himley collapsed to 88 all out.

Reigning champions Walsall continue to struggle in the defence of their crown.

The rain came to the rescue of the Gorway men at the weekend, with Walmley on course for victory on 101-5 in reply to Walsall's 131 all out when the game was abandoned.

That was despite a man of the match performance from Walsall's Shropshire all-rounder Jack Shantry, who scored 51 and took 4-35.

Kidderminster Victoria are still in the thick of the title race after once again making sure of no slip-ups against struggling opposition.

After missing last week's win over Leamington, Worcestershire paceman Imran Arif returned to attack and made his presence felt with 5-28 as Moseley were dismissed for 130.

Neil Pinner's 51 then steered Kidderminster to the four-wicket victory.

Division One promotion rivals Old Hill and Smethwick were involved in a low scoring draw at Broomfield.

Skipper Nathan Round's undefeated 46 was the cornerstone of Old Hill's 110 all out.

Round then took three wickets, as did paceman Elliot Wilson, to reduce the home side to 62-8 before the rain came.

Warwickshire youngster Ateeq Javed, proved that he is a class act with an impressive display in West Bromwich Dartmouth's losing draw against Wellington.

Javed took 4-62 as Wellington posted 180-9 and then struck an unbeaten 51 as Dartmouth replied with 125-6.

Martin Harvey and Mark Fisher hit half-centuries as Halesowen scored 235-8 against Harborne.

But Halesowen's victory hopes were dashed by the weather with the visitors 108-5 when rain brought an early end to play.

Second-placed Wombourne boosted their Second Division promotion hopes with a five-wicket success at Evesham.

After restricting the hosts to 133-8, Ian Walker's 50 saw Wombourne home.

The rain ruined a tense finish at Penn. Visitors Water Orton needed four to win off four balls when play was abandoned in reply to Penn's 154.

Cannock bagged a comfortable six-wicket success win over Aston Manor.

Australian Brenton McDonald scored 61 not out and Chris Woodcock with 40 as Cannock eased past Manor's 152. The victory keeps Cannock in third place.

In Division Three, Fordhouses were unable to force a win against Newport.

Newport held on at 105-8, in reply to Fordhouses' 143-9.
