Smikle signs new Harriers contract
Kidderminster midfielder Brian Smikle has signed a new one-year deal to keep him at Aggborough for a fourth season.
The 23-year-old former Albion youngster joins fellow winger David McDermott in pledging his future to the Blue Square Premier club this week.
Both ended last season on the fringes of the first-team but, with a lot of players moved on this summer, will be looking to make the wing berths their own this term.
Harriers assistant boss Neil Howarth believes they have the attributes to go far.
He said: "They are talented players, both at a great age. Both have been released from bigger clubs in the past, but they have remained hungry and want to prove a point that they belong in the Football League.
"We are pleased to have them here. They haven't played as much football as they would have liked, but they always give 100 per cent. They get up and down and - for their size - they can get up and head it when they have to.
"Neither of them are the biggest but they have tremendous physical attributes. They are fit lads, always work hard and put their tackles in.
"They've shown a desire to stay here, so they will want to make more starts next season."
