No let up for league leaders Pelsall

Leaders Pelsall insist there will be no complacency in the camp despite continuing their winning streak.

Richard Cooper's side are eight points clear at the top of the table, after thrashing struggling Springvale by 202 runs.

But Cooper believes the nature of their start against the second bottom side – they were reduced to 14-3 after eight overs – means there is no room for error.

He said: "I was worried a bit. To be fair, Springvale bowled really well with some good swing bowling and deserved to be in that position.

"Experience has told me there are no easy games in cricket and this division is tight this year and it's probably going to go all the way.

"Our start on Saturday serves as a lesson and if there's any complacency it would soon be stamped out, because as the leaders, teams come and raise their game and make it difficult."

Alex Jones with 114 and Australian overseas player Lee Parsons with 78 put on a 200-run stand to signal a massive recovery, before Simon Stevens and Paul McPherson guided them home with unbeaten totals of 33 and 30 respectively.

But if Pelsall's batting caught the eye, then their bowling – and in particular Roger Weston – was even more impressive.

The seamer claimed a personal club best 7-36 off just 10 overs to help dismiss Springvale in just 23 overs.

Pelsall will welcome back off-spinner Jamie Holmes, for Saturday's trip to Bloxwich.
