Kidderminster manager Mark Yates has signed a new deal to keep him at Aggborough for another season.

He penned a deal along with assistant boss Neil Howarth yesterday afternoon after lengthy talks with chairman Barry Norgrove, who is delighted at having his highly-rated management team in charge for next season.

He said: "Mark's done very well, every manager wants to climb the ladder and get to a higher position. We are glad he feels he can do that here at Kidderminster.

"He's an ambitious person, he wants to build on what we have done and everybody here will be behind him as much as we possibly can."

Yates, who celebrated his third year in charge in January, will now undertake his third full season in charge after rumours of interest from Burton Albion.

It is the end result everybody wanted, with noted improvements made in 2008/09 as Harriers finished sixth - just missing out on the play-off's on the last day of the season.

That came after a 13th place finish in 2007/08.

Now comes the part that the players have been waiting for, the 'retained' list to be worked on by management over the weekend, with the names that are on the list set to be offered new contracts for next season.

Those not named will be free to find another club this summer.

Norgrove said: "Mark will try and keep hold of as many as he can. He's the ideal person to do that, because of how close he is to the players. He's the ideal manager to try to keep the team together.

"Obviously after the season we have had, there will be clubs watching players. We know we will have competition, but we will do our best to compete."

The Aggborough club have also released details of their season ticket prices for next season, with £210 the typical price over the 'early bird' period.

That will expire on June 5, with tickets available from Monday.

The multi-instalment plan has been re-introduced, meaning that fans can spread the initial outlay of their season tickets over three periods, including tickets purchased under 'early bird.'

Harriers will also give away two free tickets with each season pass sold, while there will be discounted rates for under-16's and and children as well.
