Hotshot thrives on pressure
Kidderminster hotshot Matthew Barnes-Homer believes the Blue Square Premier play-off showdown at Histon on Saturday is the sort of game that Harriers will thrive on.
The Aggborough club go to Bridge Road unbeaten in 13 games, to face a side fighting to get themselves back into one of the coveted four places that offer a close season chance at the big one - promotion to the Football League.
The boots of Barnes-Homer, with 20 goals to his credit this term, and returning 15-goal strike partner Justin Richards - eligible again after a three match ban - have formed much of the Harriers threat, as the most potent attacking duo in the league.
With three games remaining - and the prospect of another three if a play-off finish is achieved - more will be needed to reach the promised land.
That is fine by by Barnes-Homer, he feels it's the sort of challenge him and his teammates should be striving for.
He said: "These are the games we need to look forward to, this is what is required to make the play-off's. This is what it's all about. The team is good enough to do it, now we have it in our hands to do it.
"Our spirits are so high, it's incredible. The players are willing to fight until the final whistle, in each and every game. We believe that we can always score a goal and get something out of the game.
"That is how we approach each challenge."
