Stourbridge won at Buxton for the second time in a week to add an FA Trophy win to their FA Cup victory.

In the ninth minute, Mark Lambert took a return pass from Michael Lyon before hitting a shot that Glassboys custodian Lewis Solly parried away.

The visitors settled to forge in front with 26 minutes played. Shane Benjamin did well to pull the ball back for Leon Broadhurst, who found the net with a shot that took a slight deflection past Ryan Harrison for his 23rd goal of the season.

Just two minutes later the home side got back on level terms in controversial fashion. James Clarke burst forward and cut in from the left before letting fly with a shot that Solly pushed aside into the path of Les Hines.

The Stourbridge defender tried to push the ball away for a corner but did not clear it properly and instead Solly dived on the ball. The referee interpreted this as a back-pass and awarded an indirect free-kick to the hosts.

The kick from Mark Bell struck the defensive wall and James Faulkner lashed the ball back across the goalmouth where Andy Gunn turned the ball in.
