Harrier Richards believes in team spirit

Kidderminster striker Justin Richards believes the unity of the Aggborough squad is what can take them to the play-off finish line in the Blue Square Premier.

Harriers' top scorer was again on target in an impressive 2-0 defeat of Crawley in midweek, a result that propelled the home side back among the pack and level on points with their opponents.

A seven-point gap still separates Mark Yates' men from fifth, but they have at least a game in hand on all of the teams above them - and three in hand on Stevenage in the last play-off place.

Next up is the now managerless Lewes on Saturday - Alan Keehan resigned yesterday - with Richards calling for the same sort of attitude that has ended a run of one win in five games with three unbeaten.

He believes that if they stick together, anything is possible.

He said: "It's a long season and you have to take the rough with the smooth. We are a tight-knit squad and, if we want to achieve anything, we know we have to stick together.

"Each game is a hard game and we know what we'll get if we don't do things properly. There are a lot of games still to go, we are starting to put together a little run again now and we want to keep that going."
