Yates prepares for Crawley revenge
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates has played down the visit of rival Steve Evans to Aggborough as Harriers face Crawley tonight (7:45pm).
The two had a rift when the sides met after December's corresponding Blue Square Premier fixture in West Sussex, which the visitors lost 2-0 after skipper Mark Creighton was sent off after just seven minutes.
Evans' purring of his side after the game was met with short shrift from his opposite number, who maintained he had little interest in the views of the Crawley boss.
Now the two will cross swords again with the league difference between them finely posed.
Tenth-placed Harriers can draw level on points with their sixth-placed visitors with a win but are unlikely to go above them - Crawley have twice the positive goal difference of their hosts.
But Yates' only concern is three points for his side.
He said: "They are a good side, we know that. They did us earlier in the season and - if we let them - they will be happy to do that again. But we are not worried about them, we have our own challenge to worry about.
"We had 10 men for 80-odd minutes the last time we played them, but even I know that they are a good side, one of the best in the division. But we are still competing with them - and that shows how well we have done.
"With the couple of games in hand that we have, if we can draw level on points with them after a win it would be a boost."
Defender Craig Armstrong sits out the second of a three-match ban for Harriers.
