Rangers' have lost two midfielders this week alone, with Jonathan Loukes leaving to take up a coaching position in the USA and Chris Flynn signing for moneybags Unibond League outfit Eastwood.

That will become three on March 18, when Christian Millar returns to League Two Macclesfield at the culmination of his three months on loan at Marston Road.

Liam Murray is on board to replace Loukes after leaving Redditch, but Brindley is looking at players all over the park - as long as they stay within budget.

On the back of two straight defeats and no game this weekend, the manager knows the squad needs boosting.

He said: "We have got to bring players in, thats it. With the position we are in, the players we have lost and the performances of the last two games, I feel that we need an injection of fresh blood to get us though.

"We are looking everywhere really. Whether that means getting players from clubs below or around us, or looking to the Football League for another loan player, I will look to see what is available.

"We have got to stop in this league and it looks as if we are going to need a couple of fresh faces to help us do that.

"It is not just the midfield unit we need to strengthen, it is in all areas really."

As ever, Brindley will be limited in what he can afford, but three players off the wage bill will free up resources he will use to shake up the squad.

But living beyond their means is something the Rangers boss will not entertain.

He said: "I have worked to the same sort of figure budget-wise since I took over, and that won't change I suspect. But, obviously, the players that have left will free up a bit of resources to bring players in.

"Christian will have to go back on March 18. We were not paying fortunes for him, but that obviously will also free up a bit in the budget as well.

"Whatever fits into what we can afford, I will see what I can get."
