The long-time leaders of the UniBond Premier Division have now slipped to third.

It was an entertaining first half with play flowing from end to end. In the opening minutes a shot by Bradford's Matt James bounced off Stuart Brock's chest and was rolling towards the goal line - until Danny Harvey raced in to kick the ball clear.

Brock easily saved a chance from Andy Campbell after the former Middlesbrough star had scuffed his shot. The Pitmen finally made a move forward when Elliott Durrell played a good ball forward for Ross Dyer who had got behind the home defence but his touch let him down as the ball went behind for a goal kick.

Home defender Stuart Rudd was cautioned for a challenge on Tyrone Barnett and from a good position the free-kick was wasted, when Durrell failed to clear the first defender.

Dyer played a good crossfield ball to Sean Platt who took the ball down the right, before cutting into the penalty area from where he hit a shot on target which Worsnop blocked.

Campbell was put clear with a ball over the Pitmen's back line but he was unable to take advantage due to Decio Gomes racing back and making a well-timed tackle to put the ball out for a corner. Former Pitman Mark Haran went close with a header.

The Pitmen went behind in the second minute of the second half when a long ball down the middle was taken by Campbell who, after taking a touch, hit a first-time volley past Brock.

Transfer-listed Tom Marshall headed home a Durrell free-kick almost straight from the restart but the goal was ruled out for Ross Draper standing offside.

Any hopes the visitors had of gaining anything from the game evaporated in the 54th minute, when Tyrone Barnett became the Pitmen's third player to be sent off in successive games.

It appeared the assistant referee had seen Barnett throw a punch at Haran.

Campbell scored a second in the 59th minute when he slid in at the back post after Betts' left wing cross was missed by Harvey.

Chris Hall made it three for the home team when he stabbed the ball home from close range. A cross from the right was not cleared, Marshall blocked a shot on the line but the ball fell to Hall.
