Stourbridge won at Buxton for the second time in a week to add an FA Trophy win to their FA Cup victory.

Despite a promising start that twice saw Stourbridge go close, the hosts controlled the game for the most part.

Nathan Bennett threatened first for Stourbridge with a header that bounced over the bar following a corner from Les Hines.

A minute later a long goal-kick from Lewis Solly was missed by defender Wayne Blossom and Calum Martin headed the ball onto Linden Dovey, whose early 20-yard volley drew a good save from Richard Knight.

Brackley then settled and started to ask questions of the visiting defence and they forged ahead in the 26th minute. Elliott Sandy fastened onto a pass from Jon Brady andtucked home past Solly.

The home side doubled their advantage on 58 minutes when a quick break ended with new signing Mark Rawle firing a low shot past Solly.

Stourbridge introduced Shane Benjamin for his debut following his signing from Shepshed, as they looked to get back into the game.

A rising shot from Kyle Hadley was tipped over the bar by Knight on 62 minutes and three minutes later Leon Broadhurst found the net with a header from a Hines free-kick but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Brackley wrapped the game up with a third goal twenty minutes from time. The impressive Sandy again the provider as he slipped the ball through for Tom Winters to score.
