For the second successive home game, Stourbridge were forced to settle for a point as they were again unable to hold onto a slender lead at Amblecote.

Stourbridge won at Buxton for the second time in a week to add an FA Trophy win to their FA Cup victory.

The home side had the first opportunity on 12 minutes, with a diagonal ball from Leon Broadhurst finding Drew Canavan bursting forward but his early lob flew straight into the hands of David Elm.

On 17 minutes Stourbridge twice almost forged in front. A ball from Linden Dovey allowed Calum Martin to run at the defence before hitting a rising shot that Elm tipped over.

From the resulting left-wing corner by Les Hines, Ross Collins got in a downward header that bounced up off the surface and hit the crossbar.

The Hampshire visitors responded soon afterwards with a swerving shot from Dave Allen saved by Lewis by Solly.

Stourbridge threatened again on 47 minutes, Hines delivering a free-kick from the right and Ross Collins rose to get in a far post header that dropped narrowly wide.

The hosts had a let-off as a ball into the area by Chris Ferrett led to some indecision between Solly and Bennett and that let in Allen who poked the ball inches past the post.

The Glassboys took a deserved lead on the hour, when Ashley Langford sent over a cross from the right and with Paul Gazzard misjuding the flight of the ball, giving Canavan the room to lash home an angled low shot past Elm.

But Bashley got back on level terms 15 minutes from time, from Chris Ferrett's right-wing flag-kick Richard Gillespie glanced a near post header home to level matters.
