Harriers release defender Bowler
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates has released defender Michael Bowler after just six months at Aggborough.
The 20-year-old started the first three games of the season after signing from League One Stockport in the summer, but has not figured since.
Bowler has seen his chances restricted by the signing of Keith Lowe, who is now considered a first choice in the right-sided stopper's preferred position.
With the player continuing to commute from his Manchester home, Yates has released the player to find first-team football close to his base.
The manager said: "Mike is the only one that lives any distance from the ground, so it is not fair to him to keep bringing him in every day for training when he is not realistically going to play.
"That why we have come to an agreement that he can find another club."
Harriers face a fixture pile-up with five key games needing to be resheduled, after last night's Setanta-televised league game against Cambridge was postponed due to a waterlogged Aggborough pitch.
Yates will find out this afternoon if tomorrow night's rescheduled and replayed trip to York in the FA Trophy has suffered the same fate.
He said: "It's not looking too clever. You've just got to get on with it, but ultimately we can't beat the weather.
"As for last night, there's been a lot of work put in by a lot of people over the last three or four days and we'd like to thank them - every effort was made to get the game on."
