Player exodus ends at Rangers
Stafford assistant manager Darren Read has stated that the club will be not be letting any more players go without replacements coming to Marston Road.
Rangers have had to let Dean Craven go back to Bromsgrove this week after his one-month loan ended, but midfield partner Christian Miller looks to be staying after agreeing an extension to his loan from Macclesfield.
With the squad down to the bare bones, Read has confirmed that manager Chris Brindley has been given the green light to add to the squad - as long as he stays within budget.
A new midfielder could well be the first order of business, with promising youngster Charlie Jones the only real option left in the centre of the park.
Read also added that the exodus from Marston Road is over until new faces arrive.
He said: "My understanding of the situation is that we are not letting any more of our players go. Dean has gone back to Bromsgrove but that was their decision and not ours, so there was nothing we could do.
"Christian looks to be staying, so that is good news. But we cannot afford to let anybody else go, neither would we need to do through finances. Chris now has a budget that he is working to.
"As far as I know, the plan is to add to the squad from here on, in rather than take away from it. Chris is speaking to other clubs about players, so the search has already began.
"We want to get that moving as soon as possible."
