Harriers aim for second place

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates is targeting a possible second place in the Blue Square Premier as his side welcome Weymouth tomorrow (3pm).

If results go their way, Harriers could climb two places to head the pack chasing league leaders Burton, if they can overcome their mid-table opponents at Aggborough.

Much away from Aggborough depends on how Histon fare at Northwich and the result of Crawley's trip to Mansfield, but second place would be the highest Yates' side have managed this term.

Burton would still be at least 12 points away but, with Yates' insisting the runaway leaders can be caught, an assault from the runner-up spot would be a step up.

Weymouth come to town without a win in six games and in the midst of a drawn-out takeover, which has cast a cloud over the Dorset club.

Harriers' are flying high in fourth but they will be wary of their visitors, who pushed them all the way before Harriers' scored a stoppage time winner in September.

The Terras are a task in front of Albion, which Yates is only too aware of.

He said: "Weymouth are a decent side and showed that when we played them earlier in the season. One or two things have happened down there since then, but they will be up for it and will stick together.

"But we can't worry about that, we have our own game to worry about. We can go second with a win if results go our way, so we need to focus on three points. We need to keep picking up points.

"Nothing changes for us, next game, next task. We have to approach the game with that attitude."
