Lindgren signed up for new season
Super Swede Freddie Lindgren WILL be back with Wolves for the 2009 speedway season.
Club owner Chris Van Straaten is delighted to land his man – he now has just one spot to fill for the new campaign.
Lindgren agreed terms after an extended holiday in Thailand and will be embarking on his fifth successive full campaign with the Parrys International Wolves.
Van Straaten said: "Freddie's on board. He had a 30-hour journey to get back from Thailand and he's gone to bed for what will probably be two days now!
"But he's very enthusiastic about the team we have planned and what we're trying to achieve.
"He wants success for this year and he feels, as we all do, that we have a very good chance. He'd got me fired up by the time I'd finished talking to him!"
Grand Prix rider Lindgren, 23, was thrust into the No 1 race jacket in last year's underperforming side, but still managed to put more than half a point on his average.
With Monmore legend Peter Karlsson back in the fold this year the pressure on Lindgren should ease – PK is already on record as expecting "a good internal fight" to top the club score charts.
Van Straaten will now turn his attention to filling the remaining reserve slot. He has 4.39 points left available under the 39.90 team building ceiling. "
He added: "I've now got to put in the final piece."
