Yates looks to January captures
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates has confirmed he will be looking to add to the squad when the January transfer window opens.
The Harriers boss has remained coy about what he will look to do in what has proved to be a mad month of the season, with his hands tied to a degree by finances at Aggborough.
But a good FA Cup run - they go to Championship Coventry in the third round - progress in the FA Trophy and a fourth place position in the Blue Square Premier have swelled the coffers somewhat.
This was evidenced by signing midfielder Russell Penn to a two-year contract extension last week.
Yates said: "I am always looking to add to the squad. At the beginning of January, we will see where we are. We have a small but talented squad, so it is likely to be more a case of bringing people in, rather than moving people on.
"I have decisions to make as well, with Stefan Moore on a month-to-month deal for instance and Chris Beardsley's loan spell ending up next month, so we will have to see where we go with that.
"The chairman has been good as gold so far in that respect, so I am confident he will give me what I need."
Two players known to be made available are midfielder Michael McGrath and defender Paul Bignot, who are out on loan to Worcester and Newport respectively.
Yates added: "Neither of them feature in my plans, so if they want to play regular football, they will have to move on elsewhere. It is not a case of moving them on, they have got to find somewhere first."
