Yates not amused after Crawley defeat

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates had short shrift for opposite number Steve Evans after they were beaten at Crawley.

Harriers crashed 2-0 at the Broadfield Stadium in a disappointing day for the Blue Square Premier promotion chasers. After all, they are not used to tasting defeat these days.

Evans was practically purring about his side after the game, which clearly has not amused Yates, who while conceding his side were well beaten can also point to why.

Having captain Mark Creighton sent off after seven minutes hardly helped.

Yates said: "I have heard their manager crowing about good they were. They may have been, but we are still above them in the table. The position is what is important.

"I am not really interested in what Steve Evans thinks. For me, the sooner we erase Saturday from our minds the better. We will have disappointments - it is how you bounce back from them.

"Listen, it doesn't matter. To play with ten men for 85 minutes is tough but that is that. We need to move on, which means beating Forest Green at Aggbrorough on Boxing Day."
