Bull, who was signing copies of his DVD and Christmas cards in Wolverhampton's packed Mander Centre on Saturday, was still upset at the decision of the Marston Road board to remove him from office due to the club's financial crisis.

But the record Molineux 306-goal scorer insisted he wants to get back into the game as soon as possible.

"I am still shocked and saddened by what has happened," said Bull. "I feel I have done nothing wrong and I felt we were going places.

"I know had the players with me – they are a great bunch and after I was told to leave, the eight or nine of them there said there and then 'that's it' – they were ready to quit the club in support of me.

"I feel I was only just starting to get my teeth into the job and was really enjoying it – despite the difficulties.

"The players were with me all the way and I just hope some chairman will give me a chance to manage again in the New Year.

"Let's get Christmas out of the way first and I'll be keen to get straight back into it. I have loved every minute of it and I feel I can do the job."

Bully is prepared to put himself about in order to get another stab on the management ladder.

"I am quite prepared to put my CV around and see what happens," added the Wolves vice president.

Bull was forced out by financially-stricken Rangers last Thursday after just 42 weeks at the helm. The Wolves legend was asked to leave the club by chairman Jon Downing because the club could no longer afford to pay him.

He became the latest casualty at Marston Road after a string of players were forced to depart as part of cost-cutting measures.

Rangers players were informed last month they would have to accept pay cuts and with sponsorship funds drying up, Bull had found himself attempting to hold together a team amid a growing crisis.
