Wolves maintained their three-point cushion at the summit with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Derby at Molineux.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake set them on their way as early as the first minute, later adding a second, either side of a David Edwards strike.

The striker was presented the first goal from the penalty spot after 58 seconds, after ex-Albion defender Martin Albrechtsen handled for the Rams.

Edwards made it comfortable before half-time, latching on to a Michael Kightly ball to fire past former Wolves loan goalkeeper Stephen Bywater in the Derby goal.

Ebanks-Blake made the points safe in the 57th minute, after good work on a rare start from Andy Keogh.

With this result Wolves retain their three point lead at the top but better their goal difference by two, after Birmingham won 1-0 at Plymouth.

The leaders welcome Barnsley to Molineux on Saturday, while Blues go to Preston in the tea-time kick off.
