Glassboys ready for Jarvis

Flying winger Matt Jarvis will make his return for Wolves tonight against little Stourbridge – but Glassboys manager Gary Hackett insists the Wolves star won't have it all his own way.

Stourbridge won at Buxton for the second time in a week to add an FA Trophy win to their FA Cup victory.

Jarvis has been sidelined since pulling a hamstring against Reading in September but is expected to play the first half alongside defender Jody Craddock, who will make his first appearance since breaking a metatarsal in the second week of the season.

The wide man will be the main attraction but Hackett has backed his right-back Mark Jones to handle the mercurial Molineux man in this Birmingham Senior Cup clash.

Hackett said: "It will be a fantastic test, but when I played against non-league sides it was never as easy as you thought. People expect miracles off you and expect you to go flying past people for fun, but Jarvis won't find it that easy. Mark is a confident fellow."

The Glassboys boss will tell his side to relax against a Wolves side who will boast much of their youth and reserve side.

Hackett and team are struggling in the Southern League Premier Division at fourth from bottom, meaning the third-round clash is a welcome break.

The manager said: "It's a big game but there's no pressure on us. We've been playing a lot of high-pressure football lately, so the players can just go out and enjoy themselves."

His captain Craig Slater is out with a trapped nerve.
