Goals from Jemal Johnson and Ali Gerba were followed by a late third from former Walsall trainee Mark Wright.

Wright's goal merely added to a disappointing afternoon for the Saddlers, who have now just won once in their last six home games.

Jimmy Mullen's side lost captain Stephen Hughes to concussion in the first half and Clayton Ince added to their injury problems when he limped off in the second half.

Apart from a 15 minute spell, at the beginning of the second half the Saddlers were second best throughout.
