Chasetown assistant boss Mark Swann knows the task ahead of the Scholars in the FA Trophy but adds recent history suggests they can progress.
Chasetown assistant boss Mark Swann knows the task ahead of the Scholars in the FA Trophy but adds recent history suggests they can progress.
Ilkeston Town visit the Scholars Ground in the third round qualifying, with the Northern League Premier Division outfit managed by former Blues and Sheffield United defender David Holdsworth.
The team includes former Albion goalkeeper Chris Adamson and Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough defender Dean Gordon.
Swann said: "We have had them watched twice and they are full of ex-professionals, so they are strong and well disciplined. They are a good footballing side and are very defensive. They don't concede a lot but don't score a lot.
"If we are on our game then we are a match for anyone, we showed that against North Ferriby in going there and winning 4-1 in the last round."
Lee Parsons will have a late fitness test on his knee but there are no other injury worries for Charlie Blakemore's side.
Swann has urged the Scholars to dictate the tempo.
He added: "We are a better side when we take the game to sides. If we sit back at other people's place, then that is when we struggle."
