Rushall Olympic 3 Stocksbridge 1
Rushall Olympic returned to winning ways against fifth-placed Stocksbridge Park Steels to end a run of four successive defeats in all competitions.
Manager Paul Holleran rang the changes, giving debuts to experienced defender Gary Knight and powerful centre forward Jermaine Clarke.
An excellent move from the Pics on 11 minutes saw them open their account when a quickly-taken free-kick by Richard Beale sent Lee Gough racing down the right flank.
The wing-back then pulled back into the path of Clarke, who rifled home through a crowded goalmouth from 10 yards.
Things got even better for Olympic six minutes later when they doubled their advantage after Jarred Stevens unleashed a drive that went inside the post.
But the visitors silenced the crowd by pulling one back after 24 minutes through Andy Ring. The game then erupted in the 75th minute, when Telling was sent off for a late challenge on Olympic's keeper, who required lengthy treatment before being able to continue.
As a second yellow card was quickly followed by a red one, the Stocksbridge midfielder was forced to trudge back to the dressing room with his management team clearly angry at the decision.
In the fourth minute of injury time Craig Marshall held his nerve superbly to drive the ball home from the edge of the box.
The final whistle signalled some unsavoury scenes that ended with the one of the visitors' managerial team having to be forcibly dragged away from the match officials.
