Harrison title fight added to bill

Wolverhampton's Dean Harrison will now vye for the British Masters belt in the second title fight to be added to the 'Crunchtime at Lunchtime' bill on Sunday week.
The Scotlands slugger will meet Chris Long for the vacant crown at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, in his first fight since controversially losing a points decision for the English title against Scott Haywood in Nottingham on September 5.
Harrison freely admits he was "gutted" to lose the decision and a tilt at the Masters strap is a quick way to respond, but make no mistake he will encounter a tough opponent in Long.
He is the same fighter that gave Steve Saville, who collides with Baz Carey in the main event for the Midlands title, a real run for his money before losing the decision on points, leaving the 'Wednesfield Bomber' nursing cuts that forced him to miss his next scheduled bout.
But Harrison is in no mood for any of that and he is adamant his frustrations will be taken out on Long come November 9.
He said: "I know how tough Chris is and I am fine with that. I don't need a confidence building fight to ease me back into action, I need to be tested. I know this fight will give me that test.
"This is a 10-round fight, so fitness is key and I am feeling fitter than ever. My confidence has not dropped a jot. It doesn't matter who is in the other corner, I will approach the fight in the same way.
"I don't feel I have anything to prove to anybody."
The light-welterweight refutes the suggestion that there could be a hangover from this English title disappointment, a defeat that still rankles Harrison.
He said: "I am over the last fight now but it did take me a couple of weeks. It still hurts though. Now I have got to fight on a show for a title, instead of defending it.
"There is no way in this world I lost that last fight and a lot of respected people have told me the same. But is is gone now and I have to get on with it. I am a professional boxer and I will come back all guns blazing - starting with my next fight.
"I will come back a lot stronger and this Masters title shot is a step in the right direction."
