Kidderminster manager Mark Yates publicly apologised to the travelling Harriers supporters after they were beaten 1-0 at Kettering.
The Harriers eventually succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the A-Line Arena, after John Dempster scored the only goal of the game seven minutes from time for the Poppies.
In truth, the game could have been over a lot earlier, with Kettering spurning a host of chances to kill the game off, although skipper Mark Creighton did rattle the post for the visitors.
Despite the narrow scoreline, Yates was far from impressed at full-time and is eager to let his players know it.
He said: "We got beaten up and we were second best to everything, at both ends of the pitch. We just got out-battled, out-thought, out-run, out-tackled and out-headed by a very strong Kettering team - so I apologise to our supporters."
"There is not a single positive we can take from the game, not at all. If we'd kept a clean sheet and nicked a point then there would've been that crumb of comfort in it but that was majorly disappointing.
"We've got to learn and we've got to learn quickly. Our decision making was poor. We couldn't string two passes together, we were awful."
